About Amie

Amie founded VLX Travel after more than 15 years of owning and running small businesses, driven by a love of travel that is immersive, personal and authentic. Today her work takes her around the world constantly: staying in the hotels, testing the experiences and getting to know the people behind them.
Hoteliers, guides, chefs, conservationists and fellow travelers have taught her things no brochure ever could, and she brings all of it to the trips she plans. She knows which room is worth the upgrade, the experience worth building a whole trip around, and the destination having a moment before everyone else notices.
Africa is her favorite place on earth, but her curiosity does not stop there. At home in Cleveland, Ohio, she is a dog lover, an avid reader of every genre and a wine enthusiast.
